Whole House Re-Pipe in Greensboro & Summerfield, NC

Repeated leaks, weak water pressure, rusty or discolored water, or old polybutylene or galvanized pipe in the walls? When patching one problem at a time stops making sense, a whole house re-pipe replaces the supply lines throughout your home so you can stop chasing leaks. We explain the process before we start, and we keep you in the loop the whole way.

When a Re-Pipe Makes Sense

  • Polybutylene (gray plastic) supply pipe. See our Polybutylene Pipe Check & Replacement page.
  • Galvanized steel pipe that has corroded, restricting flow and causing rusty water
  • Copper that is developing repeated pinhole leaks
  • Water pressure that is low at several fixtures, not just one
  • Discolored or metallic-tasting water coming from the lines
  • A pattern of leaks that keeps coming back in different spots

What a Re-Pipe Involves

A re-pipe replaces the hot and cold water supply lines to your fixtures, usually from the main shutoff through the house. Every home is different. Whether your plumbing runs through a crawl space, a slab, or finished walls changes the approach. We walk the house with you, explain the plan, and tell you what access is needed and what to expect before any work starts.

How It Works

  1. Call or send the form and tell us what is happening.
  2. We walk through your home and look at the existing plumbing.
  3. You receive a written estimate and a plain-language explanation of the scope. Estimates are subject to on-site inspection.
  4. We plan the work around your household. Our re-pipes use PEX, a flexible, corrosion-resistant supply pipe.
  5. We complete the re-pipe, test the system, and walk you through it before we leave.

Re-Pipe vs. Repair

A repair makes sense when the problem is one failed fitting or section and the rest of the plumbing is in good shape. A re-pipe makes sense when the pipe itself is the problem. If you are not sure which applies, we will tell you honestly, and we would rather save you from an unnecessary project than sell you one.

Water service is interrupted while lines are swapped, and we plan the work to keep that as limited as we can. We will explain what to expect for your home before we start.

Access depends on how your home is built. In some homes most of the work is through crawl spaces, attics, or basements, and in others some wall access is needed. We will explain what is involved and what that means for patching and finishing before you decide.

It depends on the size of the house, the number of fixtures, and access. We give you a written estimate after an on-site inspection, with no obligation. Estimates are subject to on-site inspection.
